Class 201: Discovering Spiritual Maturity

Most of us from Genesis CG attended the 201 (Discovering Spiritual Maturity) class last Sunday afternoon (08-Feb). We were grateful to have Pastor Joseph to teach us. The class started at 3pm and finished a little bit past 7pm. We were quite exhausted by the end of the class but thankful to have gone through it. The convicting and challenging lessons presented by Pastor Joseph remind us of our accountability to God and to His church.

In the class, I think most of us remembered the 4 T's:
1. Time with God's Word and Time with God (Prayer)
2. Tithing
3. Team (Fellowhip)
4. Task (Reaching Out)

We urge anyone who has yet to go through 201 to really consider this amazing experience - not just the experience of sitting down and taking notes but an experience where God speaks into our very mind - challenging us to maturity.

As a small group, we have quite a diversity: we have members who have been a Christian for more than 20 years to members who have accepted Christ in less than 5 years. Regardless of the number of years we have been a Christian, it was a humbling experience for everyone.
